our care

We provide 24-hour specialist care for adults with a range of complex mental and physical health needs including bipolar, schizophrenia, Huntington's and dementia

Our ethos for every resident is focussed on personal care. We pride ourselves in taking the time to get to know every person and create and implement a care plan that is right for them and works towards achieving their desired, positive outcomes.

Privacy

We respect everyone's right to space and privacy, whilst ensuring their comfort and safety.

Dignity

A core value underpinning every decision we make is ensuring the dignity of our residents at all times.

Independence

Wherever possible we support our residents to live independently, with their own decisions for as long as they are able.

Whether someone is coming here because they have a life limiting condition and require 24 hour care to offer them comfort and support through the declining stages of an illness or, to improve the standard and quality of life of someone with highly complex medical and mental needs, our ethos remains the same, we take the time to get to know someone, to understand them, and in doing so, to create and implement a care plan that is right for them as a unique person.

Individual PERSONAL-CARE PLANS

Moving to Needwood House

Prior to moving in, a multidisciplinary team alongside our manager conducts a full assessment of an individual. We take an integrated approach to care reviewing physical, social and psychological needs and take the time to go and meet a resident before they move into Needwood House.

We consult with family and talk to the individual to create their unique, personal-care plan. As an individual’s needs change, this care plan is likely to evolve to ensure we are always focussed on positive outcomes whether someone comes here on a short or long-term basis.
