Meet our team: Jade Activities Coordinator

New to the role of Activities Coordinator, Jade is looking forward to bringing in new activities and making the most of opportunities for outings, whether it’s a stroll in the local park or further afield.

Having worked at Needwood House for over seven years in several positions, Jade has developed many different skills, making her very experienced in care. Knowing the residents and team at Needwood is a great help when creating an activities schedule.

Home Manager, Rachel said, “Having a dedicated Activities Coordinator at Needwood House will make such a difference. We are really looking forward to enhancing the care of our residents with new activities. Jade already knows all our residents very well,  so she will be able to identify activities that may benefit and stimulate their individual needs and interests.”

In Jade’s first week in her new role as Activities Coordinator, she coordinated a trip to the park, which was a great success. Jade said, “It was just wonderful; seeing the residents smiling out in the sunshine was brilliant. I love my job; to see the residents smile is what it is all about.”

Jade was inspired to work in care after caring for her grandfather when he was ill. Caring about her grandfather a great deal, Jade discovered what a privilege it is to look after someone, inspiring her career path and embarking on a career in care, which she loves.
